Named after an M.D. who was partial to this complex position, and the fact that the first player (who had Black pieces in the olden days) initiated the complications. This opening abounds in traps and pitfalls.  It can be avoided by jumping 21-14 instead of 19-10 and then moving out of the way with 15-18.
